The Atlantic Club of Bulgaria, founded in 1991, is a leading independent, nonpartisan organization that works to expand dialogue to strengthen transatlantic security by contributing to policy formation, leadership dialogue, and public opinion. The Club attracts world leaders, institutions and organizations to Sofia and organizes public programs and other events featuring world leaders and experts with diverse perspectives on a wide range of Euro-Atlantic and global issues. Through conferences, research, and leadership dialogue, the club presents Sofia’s ideas and opinions on the global stage.

Open Society Institute – Sofia is a non-governmental organization for the implementation of activities in the public benefit. The work of the Institute aims to promote, develop and maintain the values, attitudes and practices of open society in Bulgaria, to support democratization in all spheres of socio-political life in the process of building the mechanisms and structures of civil society, to support the integration of Bulgaria into the European Union and to work to strengthen regional cooperation.

The Konrad Adenauer Stiftung is an international organisation with more than 70 offices and projects in over 120 countries that works to strengthen democracy, the rule of law, the social market economy, and ongoing foreign policy dialogue and exchange between people of different cultures and faiths.

The mission of the International Visegrad Fund is to foster closer ties between the Visegrad Group (V4) countries – the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia – and to strengthen people-to-people links in the region. The Fund offers funding for cultural, scientific and educational projects, youth exchanges, tourism promotion and international cooperation. Most of the beneficiaries of these programmes are NGOs, municipalities and local governments, universities, schools and other public institutions, as well as citizens. The Fund also offers individual grants.

From 1st of January 2007 – the day of Bulgaria’s accession to the EU – the Delegation of the European Commission was transformed into the Representation of the European Commission in Bulgaria. The main task of the Representation is to facilitate communication between Bulgaria and the European Commission, to provide the Bulgarian public and the mass media with information on the activities, objectives, programmes and projects implemented by the European Commission, as well as to inform the European Commission about processes and events in Bulgaria and to liaise with the media.

The European Parliament has information offices in the capitals of all EU Member States. The EP Information Office in Bulgaria was established to provide information to citizens, media, NGOs and youth organizations, state and municipal administrations about the role of the EP, and in a more general aspect – of the European Union. The priorities in the activities of the office are the facilitation of relations between citizens and members of the European Parliament, the organization of public events and civic forums, maintaining close contact with the media, supporting the visits of delegations of the European Parliament in Bulgaria and the programs of the European Parliament.
