On February 4, 2025, the presentation of the Bulgarian edition of the book “On the Front Line: A Lifetime of Global Jewish Advocacy” took place at the Sofia Balkan Palace Hotel. The book was written by the prominent American and Jewish political activist and longtime Executive Director of the American Jewish Committee (1990-2022), David Harris.

In a conversation with Georgi Milkov (journalist at 24 Chasa newspaper), David Harris shared incredible stories from his life and career—moments of challenges, perseverance, and unwavering dedication to justice. He spoke about the key moments when he defended the rights of Jewish communities around the world, his meetings with influential leaders, and his goals and dreams for the future. He dedicated a special place to Bulgaria—a country that has left a profound mark on his life and in the pages of his book. At the end of the evening, he addressed young activists with an inspiring message, encouraging them to fight for a better world, reminding them that nothing is impossible.

The event was organized by the Atlantic Club of Bulgaria, the Organization of Jews in Bulgaria Shalom, and the American Jewish Committee in Bulgaria, with the support of Glavbolgarstroy, the America for Bulgaria Foundation, and Sofia Invest.
