SAVE THE DATE | THE 2022 ENERGY DISSECTED CONFERENCE
Energy Dissected

Latest developments reconfirmed Russia’s long-standing policy of exploiting Europe’s excessive reliance on Russian gas and oil supplies. Тoday the continent is experiencing energy turmoil, with spot prices for natural gas surging to levels five times higher than those of a year ago. It has become painfully clear that energy independence is as critical to national and European security as military security and defense.

How did the Russian aggression towards Ukraine reshape Europe’s energy outlook? How can Europe respond to Russia’s weaponization of gas and oil supplies?  How does the transatlantic solidarity impact Europe’s historic drive to lessening its dependence on Russian energy sources?

The Atlantic Club of Bulgaria, in partnership with the American University in Bulgaria (AUBG) invite you to a high-level discussion of these pressing issues at the 2nd edition of the Energy Dissected Conference to be held on June 29th, 2022. It will bring together government officials,  parliamentarians, energy analysts  from Bulgaria, the EU, Russia and the US, as well as decision-makers from the industry to share views on a historic pivot in Europe’s energy policy.

Join us on Wednesday, June 29, 2022 from 2 pm till 6 pm online or in-person at the Elieff Center for Education and Culture, Sofia.

The program of the event is to follow shortly.
