The Atlantic Club of Bulgaria and Digital National Alliance provide internship opportunities for highly motivated individuals who have a particular interest in emerging technologies, artificial intelligence, cyber security, Space, science and/or social issues. EVENT COORDINATOR INTERN

Responsibilities 

• Work closely with the project management team on organization and logistic matters, as well as managing volunteers. 

Qualifications 

• Strong language and communication skills in Bulgarian and English
• Ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds
• Enthusiastic and positive attitude toward helping others
• Ability to work both independently and in team settings
• Demonstrated commitment to learning and continuous improvement
• Self-motivated, flexible, quick learner, and possesses a high level of personal integrity
• Detail-oriented with ability to multi-task, establish priorities and meet deadlines, both prescribed and self-imposed
• Computer skills in Excel and Word
• Interest in emerging technologies, artificial intelligence, cyber security, Space, science and/or social issues 
• Knowledge of Ukrainian language can be considered as an advantage

COMMUNICATIONS AND SOCIAL MEDIA INTERN

Responsibilities

• Assist with the strategy, copywriting, design and execution of social media campaigns
• Create weekly/monthly editorial calendars to promote projects (events) on various social media channels and websites
• Track social media engagement to identify high-performing ideas and campaigns for scalability

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills 
• Capability to produce content on time, with attention to detail, and an emphasis on identifying and pitching to a target audience 
• A well-organized team player with the ability to perform various tasks, act individually, and think creatively 
• Willingness to learn and develop 
• Competitive and proactive attitude 
• Fluency in Bulgarian and English 
• Basic Adobe Photoshop skills
• Computer skills in Excel and Word
• Knowledge of Ukrainian language can be considered as an advantage

PROJECTS DESCRIPTION

STEAM & SPACE | Location: Sofia Tech Park

The first edition of STEAM & Space Youth Festival Downlink (101) was held in July 2021, with astronauts Thomas Pesquet and Mark Vande Hei, crew members onboard the International Space Station.
The second edition “Hello Space, Europe Calling!” STEAM & Space Youth Festival will be held in September 2022, at Sofia Tech Park, Bulgaria. It will stress on 1) SPACE as an area of PEACE and SCIENCE and 2) STEAM as a leverage to achieve progress.
The festival is organized by the STEAM & Space Atlantic Cluster, which includes 25+ top Bulgarian academic, research and educational institutions and NGOs, coordinated by the Atlantic Club of Bulgaria, in partnership with the U.S. Embassy in Sofia. The one day event is composed of workshops, simulations, labs, experiments and science talks. 

Life in the Universe | Location: Sofia Tech Park

In order to facilitate productive transdisciplinary cooperation, the Atlantic Club of Bulgaria, in partnership with a number of American scientists, will organize a research conference, Life in the Universe, in October 2022.
To put it briefly, over the past decades, there have been major achievements in astronomy, chemistry, quantitative biology, the existence of all manner of extremophiles and the studies of geochemistry and the fossil record of the early earth. These achievements, if brought together, offer the possibility of yielding major breakthroughs for the aforementioned scientific fields. Our aim is to create the seeds of major progress in our understanding of life. 

AI ACADEMY BULGARIA |  Location: Sofia Tech Park

AI Academy is the first edition of a multi-day physical event (in September) that will bring together experts and students from a variety of disciplines to participate in a program of activities aimed at deepening understanding of the role and potential application of artificial intelligence in everyday life.
The project creates a space for training, exchange of ideas and creation of innovations, forming a meeting point for future and current professionals and uniting them in one community.

AI & CYBER | Location: Sofia Tech Park

Аn annual event that brings together business leaders, government officials and cybersecurity and artificial intelligence professionals to discuss the latest trends and challenges in the field of cybersecurity and artificial intelligence.
