NATO at 75: Ensuring Security and Economic Prosperity

Yesterday (22.07.2024) at the Central Military Club the conference “NATO at 75: Ensuring Security and Economic Prosperity” was held, organized by the Atlantic Club of Bulgaria, the Union of Reserve Officers “Atlantic” and the U.S. Embassy Sofia

The conference focused on lessons learned from the NATO Summit (Washington, July 9-11,2024), which also marked the 75th anniversary of NATO and Ukraine as a milestone of freedom.

Participating in the discussion were:

  • Acad. Nikolay Denkov, former Prime Minister of Bulgaria
  • Mr. Daniel Mitov, Member of Parliament and Head of the Bulgarian Delegation to the NATO PA
  • Denis McShane, UK Minister of State for Europe and North America (2002-2005) (online)
  • Ambassador Elena Poptodorova, Vice-President of the Atlantic Club of Bulgaria

The conference brought together the country’s political, diplomatic and military elite and many young people excited about the future of Bulgaria, Europe and the world.
