On February 17, 2023, a farewell event bid goodbye to H.E. Mrs. Herro Mustafa, U.S. Ambassador to Bulgaria, at Boyana Residence. Hosted by Dr. Solomon Passy, President of the Atlantic Club in Bulgaria, the gathering included diplomatic corps, government representatives, academics, and friends. A special performance by pupils from The American College of Sofia highlighted the evening.

Ambassador Mustafa expressed gratitude for unforgettable moments in Bulgaria, praising Dr. Passy for flawless organization. Dr. Passy, in turn, appreciated the partnership, marking the occasion of 120 years of U.S.-Bulgaria diplomatic relations.

Celebrating this milestone, Ambassador Mustafa and Foreign Minister Milkov commemorated the 1903 establishment of diplomatic ties. The Atlantic Club of Bulgaria, with a 30-year history, focuses on upgrading Bulgaria, NATO, and the EU to address regional and global challenges. As a Bulgaria–U.S. friendship think-tank, it explores innovations for global security, international relations, and democratic governance.
