PanEuropa Bulgaria, Konrad Adenauer Stiftung, and the European Commission Representation in Bulgaria, in cooperation with the Atlantic Club of Bulgaria, organise a public discussion on the topic “The EU during the Luxembourg Presidency: Where Bulgaria Stands”. Special participants at the event will be H.E. Jean Faltz, Ambassador of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg to Bulgaria, and H.E. Daniel Mitov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bulgaria.
H.E. Jean Faltz will present the priorities of the Luxembourg Presidency of the EU Council and will offer a valuable insight into the development of the EU during the upcoming six months. He will describe the Luxembourg point of view on a number of issues concerning the role of the smaller member-states in the forming and conducting of the common EU policy, the common security policy, migration and taxation issues as well as financial policies.
Minister Mitov will outline the main challenges and priorities of Bulgaria during the Luxembourg Presidency of the EU Council, as well as other issues of national importance.
The speeches of the two lecturers will be followed by a Q&A session.
The event will take place on 1 July 2015 (Wednesday), at 13:00, at Sofia Hotel Balkan (Sheraton). Registration begins at 12:30.
