At the House of Europe were presented the priorities of the new Spanish Presidency of the Council of the EU, as well as the Bulgarian perspective on common European issues.
The discussion was organized jointly by PanEuropa-Bulgaria, Bulgarian Diplomatic Institute, the Representation of the European Commission in Bulgaria, the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung Bulgarien and Embajada España Sofia.
The event was opened by Gergana Passy, President of PanEuropa-Bulgaria, and Mr. Norbert Beckmann-Dierkes, Head of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation Office in Sofia.
The main participants in the discussion were H.E. Alejandro Polanco, Ambassador of Spain to Bulgaria, Mr. Rosen Zhelyazkov, President of the National Assembly, and Mr. Boyko Blagoev, Head of the Information and Communication Department at the Representation of the European Commission in Bulgaria.
Ambassador Polanco presented the priorities of the Spanish Presidency, which included the strategic autonomy and re-industrialization of Europe, the green transition in energy, the circular economy, social justice and strengthening European unity.
The discussion continued with a Q&A session between the speakers, the physically present audience, and some ZOOM attendees.
