War and Propaganda in Contemporary Europe: Three Perspectives

What is the role of propaganda in times of war? How do media and information campaigns influence public opinion and political decisions?
Join us for a special roundtable discussion featuring three different perspectives—from Bulgaria and the EU, the US, and Ukraine—presented by leading historians and researchers:
– Perspective from Bulgaria/EU: Assoc. Prof. Mihail Gruev – lecturer at Sofia University and chair of the State Agency “Archives.”
– Perspective from the US: Prof. Mark Kramer – director of the Cold War Studies Program and lecturer at Harvard University.
– Perspective from Ukraine: Prof. Serhii Plokhy – Director of the Harvard Ukrainian Research Institute, 2013-2025, and lecturer at Harvard University.

The discussion will be moderated by:
– Gergana Pasi – President of Pan-Europe Bulgaria
– Prof. Dr. Mira Markova – Dean of the Faculty of History at Sofia University
