PanEuropa Bulgaria, the Institute for cultural diplomacy – Berlin, and the Representation of the European Commission in Sofia with the special support of NATO organize an international conference on the topic “Smart Defense and Open-Door Policy: New Synergies for Euro-Atlantic Security”. It will take place on 27th November 2013 in the Representation of the European Commission in Sofia.

The conference will outline the main aspects in the development of common cyber-security, the the need of NATO enlargement to the east and southeast, the contribution of smaller member- states for common defence capabilities, as well as the opportunities for their specialization in the framework of smart defense.

The event will gather at one place Ambassadors, representatives of state institutions, experts in the field of international relations and representatives of NGOs and academics, who will discuss the many aspects of the topic.
